Maccabi Tel Aviv- Home 2013/14 Shiran Yeini #21 (Europa League) vs. Bordeaux

This is a Sheran Yeini match worn shirt from a the Maccabi Tel Aviv vs. Bordeaux Europa League match played on October 3rd, 2013 at the Stade Chaban-Delmas in Bordeaux. Sheran was the captain for Maccabi and played the full 90 minutes, as Maccabi went on to win 2-1 from a Barak Itzhaki 71st minute goal and a Dor Micha 8-th minute goal.

The shirt is unique as this was the only match that Maccabi played in the group stages with the "League shirt" (yellow collar) instead of the "European shirt" (blue collar).

During this season Maccabi had failed to qualify for the Champions League after losing 4-3 to Basel on aggregate in the third qualifying round. After being relegated to the Europa League, Maccabi qualified directly as a result of Metalist Kharkiv being disqualified due to match fixing allegations, and were drawn into Group F alongside: Eintract Frankfurt, Bordeoux, and Apoel. Maccabi finished second in the group with 11 points from the 6 matches, and advanced to the round of 32 where they were once again eliminated by Basel 3-0 on aggregate. Sheran was Maccabi's captain for the campaign, and was a key player of their championship winning season. The shirt also features the entire squad's signatures on the front.
